Job Description
- Responsible for accurately assigning HCC codes based on clinical documentation
- Review medical records and identify diagnoses to ensure proper coding
- Analyze and interpret medical charts to determine appropriate coding
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding
- Stay up-to-date on coding guidelines, regulations, and industry trends
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with coding standards and guidelines
- Communicate with insurance providers to resolve any coding discrepancies
- Provide feedback and training to medical staff on proper coding practices
- Assist with coding-related research and analysis as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
